Berin Taştekin
This year we went to Üsküdar SEV with our JMUN team. This was my second conference and I had lots of fun. I was in the Health Committee. In my first conference I was so nervous and I was afraid to talk but in my second conference I was confident and I talked a lot. In our committee I had so much fun. We debated on different resolutions and thoughts. When I came to my committee I was so afraid but when we started debating I felt so confident. I think this conference was so helpful to me because I learned how to solve problems by looking from a different perspective and I think my English got better. I actually learned about new countries and their facts too. It was a good experience for me I learned new things and I had so much fun.

İstanbul JMUN konferansı çok verimli geçti. Benim ilk konferansımdı. Çoğu katılımcı Türk olduğu için çok rahattım. Çok sayıda konuşma yaptım. Soru sormak isteyenlerin hepsine söz verdim. Yazdığım konuşmaların mantıklı olduğunu düşünüyorum. Ne kadar zorlansam da ilk başlarda katılarak ortama alıştım. Yanlış yapmaktan korkmadım çünkü yanlış yapınca kimse bir birine gülmedi. İyi ki JMUN’ e girmişim.

As the JMUN team we went to the Üsküdar SEV conference. This was my second conference, my first conference was in Valencia. The conference was a lot of fun and a great learning experience. It was a big conference with many other Turkish schools. My committee was Disarmament and my country was The Russian Federation. The conference was fun because I made new friends from different cities. My friends and I wrote a resolution that passed with 24 votes for and 0 against. This made me really happy. I think that, at this conference I debated very well and participated in the conference. I was much better than my first conference. Everyone at the conference were at our English level so it made the conference easier for us. I think that going to this conference was a great experience for all of us and got us ready for our next conference, which is in New York.
