RS84 proof on card, in issued lake color; and LO2 U.S. Carrier
stamp with typical red star cancel. Each has light corner crease,

sound, fine; RS90a with faults; postage #26 with town cancel,
corner crease; #65 with blue town cancel, fine to very fine. All

Most wrappers offered were remainders that were never used.
Very fine, sound, with light hinge marks at corners. Cat $110.

Rare illegal usage of match revenue on bank check. Left end
fragment of check from a Connecticut bank, drawn for $200,
affixed with two fine singles in scarcer ultra color. Signed and
dated (3/31/1870) by company president P.T. Ives, one of only
two known examples of his signature on these stamps on piece.
