STAMP HOARD (15 CARTONS) ............................. $4000-6000
Fifteen (15) cartons loaded with albums, country collections,
envelopes of stamps sorted by country, souvenir sheets,
multiples (including sheets), from all over the World. Tens of
thousands of stamps included, with some duplication (no huge
kiloware or bundleware groups). Lots of NEW ISSUES, MINT
never hinged and used sets and singles. Much in single country
albums & folders. You will also find some APS sales sheets,
and single auction lots from old-time sales. Most of the world
represented, with Europe being very strong and European
colonies well represented. Middle East, Africa, Latin America
and Asia also present. There are about two boxes of Scott
International Albums including a few of the ‘Old Browns’.
Some foreign made albums and pages and a good deal of
modern topical material as well. Be prepared to spend a good
deal of time on these,. There are a good number of better stamps
and sets throughout with an enormous catalog value. Mixed
condition as would be expected, mainly in the earlier period,
fine to very fine for the majority. This large lot will keep you
busy turning up treasures through the long fall and winter ahead
(and probably into next spring and summer as well.)
Group of full panes and large blocks, both unused and CTO.
Includes SOUTH VIETNAM (by Scott): #7, 9 & 13 in mint
sheets of 50 (two panes of 25 with gutters) cat value $2850;
#261-65 (x29, CV $137); #310 x138 ($193) and others.
Balance NORTH VIETNAM with mostly broken sets, but noted
#146-47 & 152-53 with counting numbers in selvage (scarce,
only printed in early 1961); also #618A CTO sheet of 100,
#638 CTO sheet of 100, J15-18 full unused sheets of 100 (CV
$1500). Owner’s inventory included for panes. Additional
group of about 400 unused or CTO North Vietnam stamps as
singles or sets in glassines, labeled by Scott number. Overall
fine to very fine. Most sheets folded due to size, some minor
edge wear to be expected.
