Rare single franking tied to folded wrapper docketed 1869.
Stamp with full large margins all around and tied by indistinct
half oval cancel. Cover aged (does not affect stamp) and hinge
remnant on front and mild wrapper scraping. Wax seal on

carried. Addressed to Monsieur l’Ambassdour de France Tokio.
Two French stamps (Scott #326 & C11), and a single Japanese
stamp (Scott B2) to record end of flight. Left Le Bourget Airport
22-5-1937, canceled ‘Imperial Hotel P.O. Tokio’ on 26.5.37 &
backstamped same. Signed Calves.

A tremendously RARE 1935 Registered cover from Fort-Lamy
(Chad) via Paris & with Stuttgart connector flight (which makes
it even RARER). Colorfully franked with eight different 5c-5fr
overprinted CHAD issues (by Scott): #22, 27, 29, 38, 42, 46,
49 & 50. All tied by eight strikes of ‘FORT-LAMY 25 MARS
35’ cds. Red Europa-SudAmerika flight confirmation handstamp, two line handstamp purple ‘PAR LE DIRIGEABLE
“ZEPPELIN”/Via Paris-Freidrichshafen (Allemagne)’ & hand
drawn French flag on front. PARIS & STUTTGART transit
cds, BAHIA receiving cds and ‘CONDOR/ZEPPELIN/
LUFTHANSA’ confirmation stamp on back. Attractive cover,
unusual route, very fine. A spectacular, exhibit piece! (Sieger
#293 €2100=US$2768. You can disregard the catalog value

as Sieger does not account for the UNIQUENESS of this cover
– only a handful exist, and this is by far the nicest with an
incredible routing from Chad to Paris to Stuttgart to Friedrichschafen to South America!).
Attractive registered express cover franked with overprinted
Germanias for German Occupation, 75c on 60pf (Scott Belgium
N21, Michel #21) & 1fr on 80pf (Scott N22, Michel #22).
Both stamps tied to cover with ’10.11.18' Verviers cds, the day
before WWI ended. Very fine. (Michel #21-22 €308=US$402)

gutter pairs with mixed English-Hebrew overprint in gutter.
Each cover correctly franked paying 80p registered express
rate and 40p registered rate, 30p & 10p pairs on first and 5p &
15p pairs on second. Both backstamped. Very fine and seldom
