1851-98 SELECTION OF BETTER 19th CENTURY
COVERS .................................................................. $1500-2500
Roughly 200 better 19th century covers ranging from relatively
common uses of better stamps to some fairly exotic. Noted
grills, railroad and agent cancels, foreign destinations,
illustrated corner cards, many early registered, interesting
content, fancy cancels and more. Among better stamps found
on cover are 1861 series to 24¢, 2¢ and 3¢ 1869s, Black Jacks,
Large Bank Notes to 30¢, Columbians to 15¢ and TransMississippis to 8¢. Strongest area is in 1861 issues and Bank
Notes, with many 10¢ registered and 5¢ Taylor uses to foreign
destinations. Condition is an issue for some items, but fine
overall. An extremely useful and valuable grouping with HUGE
catalog value and potential for finds with analysis. From long
buried Ezra D. Cole stock.

STOCK ....................................................................... $900-1200
Large accumulation of more than 500 stamped envelopes and
wrappers (mostly 19th Century), including variety of knife
types and dies, which we did not check thoroughly. Noted a
few individual items with catalog values of more than $150,
but many are in the $20-$30 range. Significant duplication of
some issues (10-15+). Few faults and many have stuck flaps,
but fine overall. There is definite treasure hunting potential
here. Catalog well over $6,000. Remainder of long buried Ezra
