Black Gov is very influential in the style of music that we put out. Gov is the foundation to the sound that we have being the main producer of the group but we sound nothing like his solo work. Other artist that contribute to our love of hip hop are Biggie, 2Pac, Run DMC, Big Pun as well as ppl from our home (Michigan) Royce 5'9, Da Omen, Rock Bottom, AWOL, DMW, Trick Trick, MC Breed.
We make everyday life music, realistic, relatable, fun and uplifting. Our music is far from the typical music being displayed today. We were doing music before the protocol days when DJs could really scratch and you had to be an emcee to get people's attention... Even though we have street and club joints, also we show that we are human and things occur in everyday life... I would say more toward positive people really gravitate to our energy.
when we are in the lab we just turn on a track and begin to shadow box one another... By the time everyone gets their verse the vibe is incredible, it looks like a live performance most times... As a team we have great chemistry!!! Going to the stage we are usually mellow until our music drops then all hell breaks loose... This is definitely a process you want to watch.
The five artist we would love to work with are Future, T Pain, the WEEKND, Kirko Bangz, and Big Krit. We picked these artist because they are all left field like we are but make great music. Each of these artist are known to get on people's records are take it over... Lol
