Service Worth A Glance Issue 02 - October/November 2013 | Page 4

We can definitely spread the mission of BWB and in some very creative ways. If you have any stories of how your chapter helps to serve Better World Books, I would love to hear them!

There should be a newsletter coming out designated solely to Better World Books towards mid November. If you’re interested in receiving this newsletter, please shoot a quick email my way so I know to add you to that list ( [email protected] ). We will also be having a webinar on how to set up a Book Drive and how to get the support from BWB necessary to do that! This will be a great resource and something that we should all look into attending. Though an official date hasn’t been set yet, it will be advertised on Facebook and other means of communication, so keep your eye out for it!

Hope everything is going well with you all! I can’t wait to get to work more with you as this year progresses! Great things are in store for us. I can feel it!! <3

Hey everyone! I’ve been swamped with my least favorite thing about being an English Major… ESSAYS. Aside from holing up in my room and writing words that I don’t even understand anymore, I’ve been busy hanging out with my own chapter and with my division. I love love love fall because it means Halloween is fast approaching, which means COSTUMES!!!

Costumes can be a great tool for expression and can certainly act as attention getters! As mentioned on the list of ways to promote BWB and their service initiatives, costumes are a great means of catching the interest of children and keeping them engaged. Something as simple as dressing up one day might change a child’s life. Think of the impact!
