Hello! My name is Kayla Wong from Pasadena City College Circle K International, I'm part of the Foothill Division in Cal-Nev-Ha. I'm currently a Nursing and Health Science major. I remember my very first LSSP which was 2013 in Vancouver, Canada. It was the most amazing experience I've had ever had, building a playground in the rain while the children cheered us on! My goal as being part of the Projects Subcommittee is to find amazing service opportunities that everyone can enjoy, remember and cherish forever.

After attending my first LSSP in New Orleans and LSSP in Vancouver this past year, I really have been able to see the amount of positive change that CKI members are capable of! Through my experiences at LSSP, I have been able to work with Habitat for Humanity, help organize canned goods at a food pantry, garden at a Ronald McDonald house, and assist in building a playground for elementary school kids. CKI members really do make a great deal of difference in our host city each year, and it is something to be very proud of!

Large Scale Service Project is truly one of the greatest chances we as Circle K members have to truly impact the lives of others. This past LSSP in Vancouver was in fact my first ever time experiencing the trip, and I was beyond moved to have helped so many young children experience the joy of playing on a new playground- one fully accessible to special needs children as well! Next year I'm beyond excited to see what we can come up with in Nashville, and have no doubt in my mind the event will be one for the books!
