Message from Zone Chairperson
It ' s my great pleasure to provide this message for Zone Social as well as Region seminar conducted by Region 8, Zone 15 & 16, as we know that Lions Clubs International, a service membership organization of over 1.4 million members worldwide( as of April 2015), was founded in the United States on June 7, 1917, by, Melvin Jones a Chicaga businessman.
The Lions motto is " We Serve." Local Lions Club programs include sight conservation, hearing and speech conservation, diabetes awareness, youth outreach, international relations, environmental issues, and many other programs.
On the way of lionisim Lions Club of Kopay, Nallur & Kaithady are still counting their hard work to serve the community to their level best, the projects indicates the limits which they had reached but still it have to be continue to the grass root level community so that can ensure the humanity, integrity & sincerity of service
My thanks and wishes goes to the club presidents and members of the zone15 & 16 who still sacrifice their self to serve with the people who were in need, for our mother Country Sri Lanka
