Closing the Sale

How you close the sale is very important is it will be the last thing the customer remembers. Experience will help you with this and it will become much more natural as you gain more confidence.

The four steps to closing a sale are:

1. RECOMMEND

2. REFUND POLICY

3. THANK

4. MAKE THEIR DAY

Just before closing the sale you need to RECOMMEND products that may compliment the item the customer is buying. For example, an accessory to match.

You need to explain our REFUND POLICY to the customer and ensure they are happy with this and agree to it before selling the product.

After the sale has gone through you need to go the extra mile and ensure you always THANK the customer. This is a great time to use the FISH Philosophy in the workplace, MAKE THEIR DAY by complimenting them before they leave the store.

Your aim when you close the sale is to make sure the customer feels valued and give them a reason to return.
