Service and Partnerships Impact Report | Seite 4

Headmaster’ s Foreword
Service and Partnerships work is a cornerstone of our educational philosophy and purpose at Sevenoaks. The vision of our founder, William Sevenoke, was to establish a school that would transform his community through access to education; this very much remains at the heart of the school’ s objectives today as we approach our 600th anniversary. Global in our outlook and rooted in the local community, we are committed to developing inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people, empowered with the skills to create a better and more peaceful world.
Our Service and Partnerships work focuses on forming meaningful, equitable partnerships to provide young people from all backgrounds with the knowledge, skills and confidence to pursue their ambitions. Our reach is wide, and we have developed strong links with schools both on our doorstep and across Kent, as well as internationally through charitable organisations that promote education and opportunity. I am particularly proud of the student-led nature of many of our Service and Partnerships
projects. Our students have proven themselves to be ambitious, socially minded, tech-savvy and proactive as they foster new links and further widen our reach. All these skills
of course prove invaluable when entering the workplace, but are also fundamental to ensure our students leave our school as socially engaged and responsible young people who are ready to help their communities flourish.
Thank you to students, staff, parents and everyone in our community who contributes to this important work.
Jesse Elzinga, Headmaster
