Step 4:

Add .20mm or medium size lead wire with touching wraps covering about three quarters of the hook shank. Secure it with a drop Super Glue (optional).

Step 5:

Cover the lead with the black thread as much as possible keeping a smooth profile ending before the bend of the hook.

Prepare some black marabou (about 3-5cm from one side of a stem). Remove the “fluff” from the thicker side of the fibers using your thumbnail (see picture below). This will create a thinner body profile to prevent bulking up materials.

Step 6:

Tie in the marabou tail and finish a smooth body with the thread.

Step 7:

Make sure the thread is behind the bead before continuing with the next step.

With the black fine hares dubbing, create a thin even rope on the thread.
