Doornkop Fish and Wildlife Reserve is situated in the Mkhomanzi Valley 34km from Carolina and 36km from Machadodorp. The reserve is a comfortable 3 hours’ drive on the N4 from Pretoria/Johannesburg and access to the reserve from both cities is via the R36 amidst the beauty of the Lowveld.
The reserve boasts a variety of self-catering accommodation with three, four and five bedroom chalets/units and a choice of positioning options. Units are situated along the perennial Swartspruit river with views of the Mkhomanzi hills and crags, while others are situated around the trout dams offering views across the valley. All units are fully equipped and comfortably furnished. The units are serviced daily including Sunday service. The fireplace in each unit offers welcome warmth against the winter chill and the braai facilities provide wonderful socialising opportunities.
