After breakfast we packed up and headed to our next stop Gateshead, a trip of about 130km on dirt roads from Barkly East, turning off at the Bokspruit sign before Rhodes and going till the road goes no more, arriving around midday we discovered the cottage all locked up, after finding signal and a few calls later we discovered we had a confirmed booking at Birkhall and not at Gateshead, Carien went out of her way to make Gateshead cottage available to us, so Shane and I headed back to Birkhall to collect the keys and Cleaning Lady , later Carien came out personally with family to wash dishes left by the previous guests , what a great hostess !
While we were driving around Leslie & Butch tackled up and went upstream, only to report that not many fish were seen and fishing was difficult, flow was good and water very clear.
