Halloween in Romania is celebrated around the myth of “Dracula” on the 31st of October. The spirit of Dracula is believed to live there because the town was the site of many witch trials, which are recreated today by actors on the night of Halloween. They may not do trick-or-treating but they throw the best Halloween Party Ever!
USA & Canada
The United States and Canada are the two countries with the most popular Halloween traditions. From parties to trick-or treat, costumes and jack-o-lanterns, there is no wonder how this holiday had become second to Christmas. The U.S. celebrations set the mark and have influenced the rest of the world
England
Guy fawkes Day comes as close to Halloween as possible over in England. On Nov. 5th, bonfires are lit through England and fireworks are set off in honor of the execution of a notorious English traitor, Guy Fawks who was executed on Nov 5th, 1606 after being convicted of attempting to blow up England’s parliament building.
Germany
Halloween has not been observed in Germany prior to the 1990s, which was largely because of the opposition of the Lutheran Church. Today, due to the U.S. cultural influence, they do celebrate the trick-or treat—also known as subes Oder Saures in popular areas like Berlin.
