Sequim is one of the most beautiful areas in the country. The Olympic Peninsula has a special climate that creates a very even climate between the extreme hot weather of California, Nevada, and Arizona (not to mention Texas) and the extreme cold weather of Alaska, Montana, and North Dakota (not to mention Colorado).
In this photo to the left, you can see the natural beauty of old growth forests in the Olympic National Park. Hiking trails wind up and through the mountains with some limited camping areas and even some natural hot springs.
Residents of Sequim come from all over the country, and even Californians are welcomed in Sequim with open arms. In fact, Sequim has become one of the hottest retirement areas in the country for Californians escaping the megalopolis.
