You can take a wonderful afternoon trip from Sequim to Seattle by catching a walk-on Ferry on Bainbridge Island. You take a one hour drive from Sequim to Bainbridge Island, park your car and walk onto the Ferry which delivers you right
downtown Seattle as you can see in this photo I took from the Ferry. The Ferry ride is a 30 minute ride, just enough time to enjoy walking the decks of the Ferry and enjoy the views and the fresh ocean breeze. You might enjoy a hot cup of coffee or a bag of popcorn as you stroll the decks.
When you exit the Ferry, you’ll see there is a walking bridge over the highway into the downtown shopping district. It’s a short walk to the famous Pike’s Street Market, and that alone is worth the trip. The Market has all kinds of gourmet foods as well as fresh salmon, which you may have seen tossed around on some movies.
A weekend or an afternoon trip from Sequim to Seattle is a very pleasant trip.
