South Dakota Sportsmen Against Hunger wraps up 2024 – 25 season with over 13,000 pounds of donated meat

Rapid City, SD— South Dakota Sportsmen Against Hunger( SDSAH) is proud to announce the successful conclusion of its 2024 – 25 food drive, delivering a total of 13,623 pounds of meat to food banks and pantries across the state. Thanks to the generosity of hunters and the support of local communities, this year’ s effort will help feed South Dakotans facing hunger.
Rapid City once again led the way, contributing 148 deer through its culling program. Hunters across the state added another 140 deer, showcasing the strong spirit of giving that defines our outdoor community.
“ We’ re incredibly grateful for the many organizations and individuals who make this possible,” said Jeff Olson, President of SAH.“ From the hunters in the field to the processors and partners behind the scenes, this is a team effort that truly makes a difference.”
SAH extends heartfelt thanks to its key partners, including South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks, Feeding South Dakota, Scheels, the Greater Dacotah Chapter of Safari Club International, the Black Hills Sportsmen Club, and the many dedicated processors who help bring this mission to life.
