WOMEN IN THE PDA LEADERSHIP
Over the past 29 years , the percentage of women dentists practicing in Pennsylvania increased 23 %, from 9 % in 1993 to 32 % in 2022 . Although it has taken time , the Pennsylvania Dental Association ( PDA ) has made progress with incorporating the increasing pipeline of women dentists into PDA leadership positions .
For example , since 2000 , the percentage of women serving on PDA ’ s Board of Trustees has increased 45 % and the number of women serving in Pennsylvania ’ s delegation to the American Dental Association has increased 39 %.
