Senate Republican Campaign Committee ( SRCC ) – Immediate Past President Dr . James Tauberg attended the fund raiser in Latrobe .

Dr . Bernie Dishler , PDA Executive Director Ward Blackwell and lobbyist Peg Kuskin attended a function at Temple School of Dentistry and presented a check to Sen . Sharif Street ( D-Philadelphia ). Senator Street is the Democratic chair of the Senate Banking & Insurance committee

Dr . Brian Christian , Dr . Craig Eisenhart , Dr . Andy Zimmerman , Director of Government Relations Marisa Swarney and lobbyist Peg Kuskin met with Senate President Pro Tempore Jake Corman ( R-Centre ) in State College to discuss PDA ’ s Assignment of Benefits ( AoB ) legislation . The President Pro Tempore is the senator who assigns senators and their bills to committees . Senator Corman indicated that he was supportive of AoB . Excellent work by all who took the time and made the effort to meet with Sen . Corman . He has been supportive of dentistry and AoB for a number of years . He voted for AoB when he was Senate Majority Leader and his help was crucial and getting AoB out of the Senate last time .

Dr . John Kiessling , Dr . Eric Shirley , Director of Government Relations Marisa Swarney and lobbyist Peg Kuskin had lunch with Sen . John DiSanto ( R-Dauphin ) in Harrisburg to bring the Senate Banking & Insurance chair up to speed on AoB . Sen . DiSanto is the new chair of the committee and it ’ s always good to meet with the chair to let him know about the issues important to you and how we can help him have an effective chairmanship .
