Act 31 CE Requirement for Every Relicensure Period
Act 31 mandated that all health-related licensees applying for the renewal of
a license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry are required to
complete at least 2 hours of Board-approved continuing education (CE) in
child abuse recognition and reporting requirements as a condition of renewal.
For the dental profession that means that dentists, hygienists and EFDAs need
two hours of Department of Human Services and State Board of Dentistry
approved CE in child abuse recognition and reporting every relicensure period.
PDA’s in-person program, Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting for Dental
Professionals, is custom designed for dental professionals, fulfills the Act 31
requirement and offers two CE credits that can be applied toward the hours
you need to renew your dental license.
