If the manuscript has been accepted with modifications , authors should resubmit a new version of the article , following demands and suggestions of the external evaluators . Articles with significant corrections may be sent back to blind peer review to verify the validity of changes made by the author .
Considering the degree of compliance with changes requested , the Board shall decide whether or not the publication of the article . This decision shall be communicated to the author by the Editorial Board and in case of publication the manuscript will be dated as accepted .
3 . SUBMITTING A MANUSCRIPT
3.1 . FORMAT
Building & Management is an open access publication . Articles will be published online in PDF format , and will be available for free to readers immediately after publication online , without any restriction , at the following electronic address : http :// polired . upm . es / index . php / building _ management /
The Universidad Politécnica de Madrid reserves the right to distribute the complete numbers as an electronic book for its sale , either in PDF format , ePub or in any other electronic possible format , now or in the future , and / or paper format in print on demand . These alternative formats will have identical content and will be subject to the same copyright as the individual articles in the digital edition , and will be considered equivalent for all purposes .
3.2 . SUBMITTING PROCESS
All manuscripts will preferably be written in English or Spanish . Submitted manuscripts will undergo a reviewing process , starting with a linguistic review . Manuscripts with a poor quality in this regard will be returned without evaluation . The submission of a manuscript implies that all co-authors have approved and accepted the content of the submitted text , tables , graphic material and any other complementary material supplied . The corresponding author will be responsible for all the co-authors to correct information about the manuscript . All submissions must be accompanied by a signed letter stating the originality and unpublished nature of the content of the manuscript , and their assurance that it has not been simultaneously sent to another publication for its evaluation . El consejo editorial decidirá si el manuscrito es aceptado o rechazado basándose en los informes y recomendaciones de los evaluadores externos . El proceso de evaluación tiene normalmente una duración aproximada de entre tres y cuatro meses y no tiene ningún coste para los autores . Todos los informes de evaluación se enviarán a los autores , manteniendo el anonimato ( publicación sin cambios ; publicación con correcciones menores ; publicación con correcciones importantes ; no aconsejable para su publicación ). En el caso de la aceptación del artículo , los autores deberán considerar los comentarios realizados por los evaluadores y volver a enviar el trabajo con los cambios oportunos . El proceso de revisión se repite , manteniendo el anonimato . En caso que la segunda revisión de los evaluadores sea de nuevo favorable , será probable que el artículo se acepte para su publicación definitiva . Cuando ésta se produzca , al trabajo se le asignará una fecha de aceptación .

Los manuscritos estarán redactados preferentemente en Inglés o Español . Los manuscritos enviados serán revisados en primer lugar desde el punto de vista lingüístico . Los manuscritos con un nivel de calidad deficiente en este aspecto serán devueltos sin ser evaluados . El envío de un manuscrito implica que todos los coautores han aprobado y aceptado el contenido del texto remitido , las tablas , el material gráfico y cualquier otro material complementario suministrado . El autor designado como persona de contacto será responsable de que todos los coautores dispongan de información correcta sobre el manuscrito enviado . Todos los envíos deberán ir acompañados de una carta firmada indicando el carácter original e inédito del contenido del manuscrito , y que el mismo no ha sido enviado simultáneamente a otra publicación para su valoración .
