The Vocal Audition - Square One Respected professional entertainers and educators with decades of experience in the industry will teach the 12 hours of instruction ( six twohour classes ), beginning Nov . 1 , plus two performances on Dec . 10 . An Open Letter to the Board of Directors of the Laguna Board of Realtors
Your opposition to Measure Q is noteworthy for three reasons . First , you have secured $ 36,789 from the California and National Board of Realtors to oppose Measure Q . That is a huge sum of outsider money being used to influence Laguna Beach affairs .
Second , you did not consult your rank-and-file REALTORS on this action . It was just a board action . The local neighborhood Realtors that we know and like would have told you that residents here pay a premium to live in this small town atmosphere . They don ’ t want to put up with more commercialization , hotels , traffic , and congestion .
Third , since this was just a board action , it is worth noting that many board members are not Laguna residents . They won ’ t have to put up with the impacts of overdevelopment . This is just more outside interests telling Laguna to become something else – and personally profiting from it .
Can we trust commercial development interests to give residents advice on how to stop overdevelopment ? Your massive contribution to oppose Measure Q demonstrates that commercial real estate interests have different priorities than the residents have .
Measure Q gives our council better standards to help manage development and gives residents the right to vote on significant projects .
