1 ) Blue Beetle - Something had to overcome the Barbie juggernaut , and this entertaining family superhero film did it . Part of the DC Universe , this entry focuses on Latin culture - it ' s fast and funny . See it ! - in theatres ...
2 ) Bottoms - Remember Porkys ? Like that seventies classic , this independent release hits the funny bone with humor that could be described as raunchy - but within the story told here , it works . This month ' s sleeper . See it ! - in theatres ...
3 ) Heart of Stone - Gal Godot is a very fine actress , but even she can ' t make this poorly written knock off of every other action flick released in the last five years watchable . Avoid it - on Netflix .
4 ) Harlan Coben ' s Shelter - As a fan of Coben ' s books , I can say with authority that this is the best adaptation of any of them . Written for the screen by Coben and his daughter , Charlotte , Shelter has it all - an engrossing story , terrific acting , and a very quick pace . Watch it ! - on Amazon Prime ...
5 ) Retribution - The latest Liam Neesom thriller is the same old , same old - he finds himself and his family in danger , he ' s stuck in a no-win situation , and he manages to defeat his foe . We ' ve seen it - again and again .... there are no surprises left here . Avoid it ! - in theatres ...
