Meet Riley Downing- his formative years as a " trashman " in rural Missouri, hauling waste in a makeshift truck, while listening to Tom T Hall, John Prine, John Hartford, and classic country music, shaping his songwriting. And from that experience comes his second solo disc, Landfill Poetry. The album draws on overlooked experiences, reflecting his habit of hoarding memories. The title track ' s video was filmed riding a garbage truck through his hometown, ending with a backyard cookout at his father ' s home.
