Dear Colleagues,

Instead of my usual column, I want
to yield the floor to someone who has served as the steady heartbeat of our Bar Association for the past decade, our outgoing Executive Director, Carla Tharp-Brown. While our Bar year is already off to an energized start, the Board of Directors held a productive strategic goal-setting retreat joined by Joshua Doyle, the Executive Director of the Florida Bar, and our committees have officially begun meeting following a great committee chair orientation, this moment belongs to Carla. For ten years, through building fires, unprecedented challenges, and continuous changes, Carla has guided the Palm Beach County Bar Association with extraordinary resilience, grace, and unwavering dedication. On behalf of the entire membership, we extend our deepest gratitude to Carla for her remarkable service and wish her the absolute best in retirement. Please take a moment to read her farewell reflections on the following page.
The PBCBA staff sends our very best wishes to Carla as she heads into retirement! Carla has been such an important part of the Association, and we are so grateful for her hard work, dedication, and the many ways she has made a difference over the years.
We have shared plenty of good times, laughs, and memorable moments, and we are excited to see what this next chapter brings for her. Carla, congratulations on your retirement! We hope it brings you lots of fun, relaxation, travel, and time to enjoy all the things you love.

PBCBA congratulates Kathy Clark on her well-deserved retirement after 16 + years of dedicated service to the Bar. Throughout her time with PBCBA, Kathy has served in several capacities, most recently as CLE Coordinator, where she supported the Bar’ s CLE programs and served as staff liaison to NCS.
We are grateful for Kathy’ s dedication, hard work, and all she has done for PBCBA and its members. She has been a valued part of the PBCBA family and will certainly be missed. We wish Kathy a very happy retirement and all the best in this next chapter!
