WELCOME BACK TO A“ COOL” JERSEY SHORE AREA MIDDLE SCHOOL!
As I walked through the hallways of the Middle School a few weeks ago, I could still smell the faint scent of cleaning products and hear the last few sounds of hammers wrapping up- clear signs that our building was busy long before we welcomed back students and staff.
This summer, Jersey Shore Area Middle School was a hub of activity. Crews worked tirelessly, replacing HVAC units, updating fluorescent light fixtures to LED, and overhauling the gym to make our learning spaces cooler, brighter, and more inspiring than ever. It hasn’ t been without its challenges- construction dust and warm temperatures became part of our summer routine- but every change was made with one goal in mind: to create the best possible environment for our students and staff.
Now, the scaffolding has come down, and the hallways are gleaming. Whether we had returning students ready to tackle another year or new faces joining our school community for the first time, they stepped into a space built for both learning and belonging.
While the physical work to the building is done, the more important work still lies ahead: building relationships, building knowledge, and building strong habits. We encourage our students and families to approach this year with curiosity, patience, and a willingness to grow.
Thank you to our staff for their dedication in setting up classrooms amid construction zones, and to our community for supporting the updates that will benefit our students for years to come.
We hope to make this year one to remember- for the lessons we will learn, the friendships we will form, and the future we will build together.
