Step 8 1. To help the flower stand upright on the cake tier, we’ ll need to create a simple back support. Melt another batch of Colourmelts in a colour that blends with your cake tier. I’ m using white to demonstrate the method, but on the photographed cake I used orange so it blends nicely into my orange tier so it isn’ t as noticeable.
Place your 75mm square cutter on your acetate tray and pour in approx 3 tablespoons of your melts. Freeze for approx 10minutes until firm and set, then remove from the cutter.
Step 9
Boil water and pour it over your sharp knife, then dry completely with a paper towel. Cut the square in half diagonally to make two triangles.
Step 10
Apply a thin layer of your glue to the back of each triangle and attach them to the back of your flower, making sure they’ re hidden and don’ t protrude from the front. I’ ve placed mine in the middle back. Hold in place for about 10 seconds until set in place.
