Flower Pattern It’ s time to create a playful and bold flower pattern for the middle tier!
Step 1 Melt a small bowl of white Colourmelts to act as a glue for assembling your flowers. The Colourmelts will naturally firm up as they cool. Just reheat them briefly in the microwave to get them nice and runny again to continue using them.
Step 2 We’ re going to be using the following three Colourmelt pairings for our flower pattern; purple and yellow, orange and blue, red and pink. Let’ s start with your orange and blue! Place four orange melts flat side up in the shape of a square. These will be your petals!
Step 3
Grab a blue melt for the centre of your flower. Cover the flat side with a small amount of your melted glue. I like to apply this using a paintbrush, but you can also use a piping bag if you want more control.
Step 4 Quickly attach the blue melt to the centre of your orange petals and hold in place for a few seconds until the glue has set. Repeat this process for all of your colour pairings! For my 7x 6 inch cake, I needed 12 of each colour.
