Jones Foster announces that shareholder Genny Bernstein has been appointed Sponsorship Committee Chair of the Jewish Lawyers Association of Palm Beach County( JLA PBC) for the 2025-2026 term. In this role, Ms. Bernstein will lead efforts to build relationships with law firms, businesses, and community partners by developing sponsorship opportunities and fostering meaningful engagement with sponsors to support and expand the Association’ s events, member initiatives, and outreach. Jones Foster is a proud annual sponsor of the Jewish Lawyers Association. Ms. Bernstein’ s appointment follows the Association’ s inaugural year, during which she was installed as a founding member of the board of directors. JLA PBC was established in 2024 to bring together Jewish attorneys, judges, and their allies in a shared mission of promoting and educating about Jewish cultural heritage, protecting members’ common interests, and standing up to antisemitism and intolerance. Genny Bernstein is a Florida Bar Board Certified specialist in Elder Law and a member of Jones Foster ' s Private Wealth, Wills, Trusts & Estates team. She focuses her practice in the areas of estate planning, wills and trusts, guardianships, special needs trusts, veteran benefits, and asset planning and protection for Medicaid to assist in obtaining benefits for home care, assisted living, or skilled nursing facilities.

Atlas( SSRGA) is pleased to announce that attorney Chioma Deere was honored at the 6th Annual International Career and Business Alliance( ICABA) Salutes Women of Impact event, held on June 21, 2025. Deere was recognized for her outstanding contributions as a legal professional and community advocate. The awards were part of a daylong Lifestyle Summit in Fort Lauderdale, where Chioma Deere will be a panelist during the Legacy and Wealth Building session. Deere, a Trusts & Estates attorney with SSRGA, was one of 15 extraordinary black women honored for driving change, breaking barriers, and championing the success of their fellow business leaders across various industries. In addition to her law practice, Deere is a member of the Palm Beach County Black Chamber of Commerce, the Sheree Davis Cunningham Black Women Lawyers Association, and the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys. She also holds leadership positions with the Palm Beach County Bar Association. In the community, Deere serves as an officer with the West Palm Beach( FL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, sits on the philanthropy committee for the Palm Health Foundation, and is an advisory board member for Changing How Individuals Prosper( CHIP).

Jones Foster announces that private wealth and tax attorney Richard C. Vaughan has been selected this year as one of only three attorneys statewide to participate in The Florida Bar Tax Section’ s New Tax Lawyers Fellowship Program. The Fellowship Program was established by the New Tax Lawyers Committee to attract and retain young tax attorneys by encouraging their active engagement in section work. This three-year initiative is focused on the education, mentorship, and leadership development of emerging tax law professionals. An active member of The Florida Bar Tax Section, Mr. Vaughan currently serves on the Transfer Tax Subcommittee of the Section’ s Washington D. C. Committee, where he co-authored peer-reviewed White Papers— proposals for legislative and regulatory reform— submitted to and presented before federal agencies and congressional delegations.
The Jewish Lawyers Association of Palm Beach County is proud to announce the conclusion of a highly successful inaugural year and the appointment of its Officers and Board of Directors for 2025-2026. Founded in 2024 to unite and represent the interests of Jewish attorneys, judges and their allies in Palm Beach County, the Association quickly became a vibrant and important forum for networking, education and fighting antisemitism and intolerance. With more than 300 members and growing, the organization has hosted a series of sold-out events that celebrated Jewish heritage, promoted professional development, and supported important causes in the broader Palm Beach County community. With an expanded slate of programming, community engagement, and leadership development opportunities already in motion, the Jewish Lawyers Association of Palm Beach County looks forward to continuing to uphold the highest ethical standards to champion the rights of Jewish counselors contributing to the betterment of society.
