The Providence Children ’ s Museum hosted Cocktails & Kicks , a carnival-themed event that raised $ 61,000 in support of the museum . Along with carnival decor and games , the evening featured live music , entertainment , an auction , food and cocktails . Being the hub for all things creative and fun , the museum invited guests to pair their cocktail attire with their choice of footwear , including sneakers . The funds will support educational and interactive activities for local children , assuring that all families can reap the museum ’ s benefits . — EVE STOCKWELL
