[ Ellen ’ s ] article in Rhode Island Monthly is nicely done in recording and explaining the situation on Block Island . Thank you for your work , research and skill , and for the balance you achieved by interviewing an informed cross-section of the community . This island is an important asset for both humanity and nature . But those benefits are vulnerable and easily squandered . We must be diligent in their care .
