For One Night Only ...
As I write this , we are just a few short weeks away from celebrating the highest recognized event in the multifamily industry here in Denver known as Tributes 2023 . This prestigious event comes around every 3 years , however , due to the pandemic it was pushed back twice and will have been 5 years since the last event .
During that time the Apartment Association of Metro Denver has added nearly 75,000 apartment homes , 795 new properties , and hundreds of new talented team members .
As the industry continues to grow , now is the perfect time to spotlight those exceptional talents on the evening of September 15th at the Gaylord of the Rockies Hotel and Resort .
For the first time ever in the history of Tributes , we recently hosted a Finalist Celebration in which over 200 finalists and sponsors were able to gather and share their testimonials of what Tributes means to them as well as the feeling of how wonderful it felt to be recognized . As we listened to those stories , it became obvious that receiving a Tributes Awards may have different meanings to many people .
• It reminds us why we all get up every day to do it all again .
• It recognizes the voices who are never heard , and sheds light on those who work behind the scenes and put their heads down to keep so many of us afloat .
• It elevates the minds of those who didn ’ t think it was possible and forces those in leadership and have paved the way for many to take a bow , yet humble themselves in the faces of over 1,400 attendees who are hanging on to their every word of encouragement and wisdom .
• It allows us to get all dressed up in our evening gowns and tuxedos and toast to “ The Best ” in our industry .
But since the inception of the association in 1968 , the one aspect of this event that is most commonly echoed is that Tributes transcends all of us for one night . It allows us to pause and reflect on all of the hard work each and every one of us puts forth on a daily basis .
In just a few weeks over 40 Tributes Categories will be awarded a winner . A list of all of these deserving finalists can be found on page 19 of this issue .
I hope to see you there at this magical event , and extend congratulations to all of our finalists .
