The biggest challenge so far I think for me has been brushing off the negativity . When you put yourself in the spotlight like I have in a community , you are always going to get both positive and negative feedback / comments . I guess trying to keep positive , push through that negativity of what you see on social media or what you hear from others ect , and for me to learn I can ' t please everyone ( even though I really wish I could and I ' m trying my hardest ) that for me has been the most challenging . I can ' t wait for people to finally see all the hard work , late nights , 1000 ' s of hours and tears we have put into this show .
My biggest points of advice for people who are just starting out in the industry would be Make insta or social friends in the industry , it ' s so helpful to have others who are like minded around you . ( Also the reason why ACDN is amazing ) Don ' t be afraid to ask for help / advice ( Which sounds stupid coming from me because I never do , but I know I should , I ' m getting there hehe ) JUST START ! Honestly , if you are nervous about becoming a business from a hobby baker , take your time and just take that leap . You ' ll be amazing if you put your mind to it Don ' t be disheartened if you have 5 orders one week and 0-1 the next , that ' s so normal . It never happens overnight , take your time and trust your gut , the more you put in the more you will get out of it . My biggest piece of advice DON ' T COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS ! There are so many of us cookiers / bakers find your way and you do you . Social media does not define your business or you as a person . Getting burnt out in this industry is so easy especially around the seasonal times like Christmas and Easter ect , the late nights are REAL , give yourself boundaries and self care .
