Step 11 To finish , add dainty decorative elements to add interest and sparkle ! Ive used soft dabs of buttercream ( applied using a tissue ), sprinkles and gold leaf . Place these elements strategically ! Look for areas of the cake with particularly good textures of buttercream . Use the sprinkles and gold leaf to draw attention to these areas .
