The twentieth season of StyleWeek kicked off in June with a “ Micro-Fashion Week ” event held on the Capital Grille patio in Providence . The evening began with the first ever Student Design Art Challenge , a gallery presentation of self-portraits created by eleven students at the Grace School that were silently auctioned off to raise money for Hasbro Children ’ s Hospital . Runway shows followed , including the SEED Student Design Challenge for which seven students from the Lincoln School designed garments made from repurposed materials . Designer Isabel D ’ Hondt-Gorbea from the Lincoln School won for her design that intricately weaved together plastic shopping bags . – JAMIE COELHO
