Cool cover from Rhode Island Monthly
of a 1925 Rhody beach scene. That’s
my grandmother, Gladys Priestley

older sister and friend.

Beautifully written article on
equine therapy. These Rhode
Islanders are overcoming trauma
with help from horses, a type of
psychotherapy that is helping
people who struggle with PTSD,
depression and other behavioral

May/June
During this COVID-19 pandemic, a
real bright spot is receiving Rhode
Island Monthly. I find the May/
June issue as a great resource for
summer fun in Rhode Island. I also
enjoyed the focus on some vibrant
seniors, which is inspiring and gives
hope. When I read Rhode Island
Monthly it is not only a wonderful
escape, but I feel like I am on vacation.

Summer Guide
My name is Guy Lombari and I have
lived my entire life in Rhode Island.
The only time I was absent from the
state was the three years I served in
the US Army. I just want to say thank
you for the fabulous presentation of
our state in the 2020 Rhode Island
Monthly Summer Guide. Even
though I know the state well, I was
able to select some points of interest
and food establishments to help
me enjoy the summer during this
unprecedented time.
