Back to Saturday. As the day played on
Dezi Johnson’s Red Team got stronger and
stronger—but Blue was certainly no pushover.
Battle after battle, skirmish after skirmish,
every inch of territory and every attempt to
win mission points was a hard-fought affair.
Some of the hottest battles on Saturday took
place on Firebase, Black Snake Bayou and of
course the Final Battle field, the brand-new
Cargo Field. Red team General Dezi Johnson
told us, “When the smoke cleared after a
tasty Friday Night Ops, Saturday SuperGame
location control, and the Final Battle on the
brand-new Shipping Container Field, Red Team
was in the lead! But we paid for it dearly--800
First Strikes from myself shot [and we were all]
welted, bruised, and dehydrated.”
Johnson continued, “Sunday started with a
bang and words that were taught to me the first
time I commanded an event in Florida echoed
through my ears… ‘Put your boot to their
throat and don’t let up pressure.’” Sunday’s
half-day play was again awesome, with battle
after battle coming down to the wire. Red
Team once again held a points-advantage at
the day’s end. When the smoke finally cleared
and the scores were tallied it was victory for
Dezi Johnson’s Red Team.
