Due to COVID-19, our facility has remained closed to the public. Even so, our community has stayed strong, and we have found new ways to connect and have virtual events! Gary Wenstrup was on Zoom presenting Motown in June, Leslie Goddard came in July as Betty Crocker, Atria presented a Chef Demo in August and we all made cake pops in the safety of our own kitchens. Each month, we continue to provide virtual events and resources to our members. Barry Bradford will present Johnny Carson, the King of Late night in September and Leslie Goddard will do “Sweet Home Chicago”, the candy capital of the United States. Beginning in September, we will be offering small group, in-person activities at various locations in Glenview. Men’s Round Table, Women’s Book Club, Men’s Book Club and Talking Points will safely be offered. Your safety is our priority – all events will require registration, be limited to safe number participants, include activities that allow for physical distancing and face coverings will be required. At this time, our drop-in hours and activities at the East Wing will remain closed for your safety. We are excited to welcome you back by providing in-person programs for you to connect with your friends in a safe environment. Build Friendships: Join us for virtual or small group, in-person programming to enjoy fellowship and make new friends Have Fun: We are all looking for new ways to have fun safely! Swap puzzles, join our speaker series programs or virtual events and learn about new opportunities to have fun each week. Stay Connected: Each week, an email newsletter is sent to members with jokes, activities and events.
