VISITING SAFE – HISTORIC WAGNER FARM
Historic Wagner Farm’s Heritage Center will open to the public on August 11th
with a number of provisions to protect the safety of our customers, employees
and our community.
We believe the Glenview Park District’s museums can open safely with adequate
physical distancing while providing individuals with an opportunity to appreciate
nature and history and to promote mental well-being. We are committed to safety
and have a plan in place allowing patrons to visit with as little contact as possible
while adhering to the guidelines set forth by the Illinois Department of Commerce
& Economic Opportunity. (Last Updated July 27, 2020)
HOW THE EXPERIENCE IS CHANGED
Visitor Limitations
The Heritage Center will be limited
to 25% occupancy. Visitors will only
have access to the main exhibit hall,
restrooms and gift shop. Exhibits will
be limited to signage and descriptive
panels. No hands-on exhibits will
be displayed. Trash and recycling
containers will be limited, so please
plan to take your trash with you.
Arrival
Access to the center will be at the
North entrance from the circle drive.
Patrons may arrive at any time during
the posted public hours and will be
asked to sign in and out of the building
each time they enter. If the building
reaches 25% capacity, patrons will be
asked to wait outside at safe intervals.
Operations
The Heritage Center will be open
to the public 10 am-3 pm Tuesday
through Sunday. The Heritage Center
will be closed Mondays until further
notice. Please note that the farm is in
the middle of a major construction
project to improve visitor amenities
and accessibility, so sections of the
grounds will be closed through mid-
October.
