ear friends, it is with immense pleasure that I welcome you to this second edition of our quarterly magazine. This project which has finally come to fruition thanks to the dedication and hard work of our Co-President Jamie, has been a long held desire of ours.
Entering our second decade in existence, we have witnessed our club grow from a social cricket team into an established sports club with representation in the First Division of Gibraltar's basketball, futsal, netball and cricket leagues. We also boast a women's basketball team, a basketball development team and junior teams in basketball, netball and cricket. It is no surprise that our club is well represented in national teams across all our sports and this is in no small part, thanks to the enthusiasm and commitment of all our Bavaria coaches and the values they champion in their approach to sport.
We have been busy this summer preparing for the season ahead as we look to build on a hugely successful 2018/19. Notably, we will get a first look at our newly established netball juniors under the capable stewardship of Gail Hernandez who continues to develop these young girls in the hope of pushing them through to our first team. We are also looking forward to seeing our cricketers bowl their first ball at the new state of the art facilities at the Europa Sports Complex. This impressive development has seen HM Government of Gibraltar make a sizable investment into the future of cricket.
