Race Season:
A big thank-you to everyone that supported our clinics and staff over the race season. We are pleased to report
there were no evacuations over the Birdsville races, just coughs, colds, mosquito bites and the odd broken bone. To
all our travelling visitors thanks for visiting the Diamantina but don’t forget you need to have extra supplies of medications should our roads be affected by rain. This includes anything you purchase from the pharmacy without prescription e.g paracetamol, neurofen, anti-histamines. Although we have these supplies in our pharmacy we have limited
stock and this must be kept for emergent cases only.
Womens Health:
Dr Simone Peacock - Will be holding a 1 day only Women’s Health Clinics in both towns.

Bedourie & Birdsville Women : if you are not available for the above clinics the ‘newly employed Central West
Health Women’s Health Nurse Della Turner will be visiting Birdsville on Wed 12th Oct and Bedourie Thursday 13th
October. Della will undertake further pap smears and women’s consultations and give an evening talk on Sexual
Health to all that are interested. Please contact the clinic for appts

Bedourie PHC: Georgie Ferguson will be covering days off for Richard in Cathy’s absence.
