BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING JULY 12 TH , 2023 7:00 PM AMERICAN LEGION , CHASKA , MN MINUTES

Meeting was called to order by President Lynn-Ellen St . Martin at 7:07 PM Public Open Comment : None
Secretary ’ s Report : Leslie Mason Motion made by Julie Gintner , seconded by Steve Bobzin to approve the June 7 , 2023 , Board Meeting Minutes . Motion carried unanimously .
Treasurer ’ s Report : Arlene Bayer

Balance Sheet and Income Statement was presented , YTD Net Income ( Loss ) is $ 1,782.13 and LYTD Net Income ( Loss ) was ($ 58,897.13 ). The quarterly payout of dividends came to $ 456.56 . The quarterly payroll reports have been filed . Motion made by Kevin Berger , seconded by Lori Taylor , to accept the Treasurer ’ s Report subject to audit from July 11 , 2023 . Motion carried unanimously .
Correspondence : Received late membership requests from Mankato Saddle Club , Indianhead Saddle Club , Little Mountain Wranglers .
Committee Reports :
Championship Horse Show : James Duenow Working on the agreement with State Fair . Working on the schedule for dragging . Setting up a meeting to finalize things with the Fair . Working on a Champ Show supplement and it is 50 pages . It will have information regarding stalling , adaptive riding , ranch classes , etc . Working on the sponsorships for the show and have received approximately 35 % of the sponsorships .
Computer : Jake Flodquist Absent . Nothing report .
Drills and Squares : Marlys Mooney Everything is on track for the State Fair .
Futurity : Renee Lee Absent . Lynn reported that they are working on the guidelines for the exhibitors .
Historian : Tim Wampfler Absent . Nothing to report .
Judges : Kim Ziegler Absent . All three Judge applicants are in the process of completing their guest Judge requirements . One Judge had an issue recently with lack of definition of legal western bits in our Rulebook . Kim would suggest that the Rulebook Committee consider adding information regarding legal bits , both English and Western , with the next rulebook printing to avoid any additional confusion .
