Most people will recall the craziness of the 1970s. America was in the mid-
dle of an endless war with Vietnam, economic inflation was rising at ques-
tionable rates, and the President of the United States had just resigned.
With all that pressure, there had to be a place where people could relax.
The building itself was built in 1927 as a television studio. Over the years,
it went through many changes and upgrades. Finally, it opened its doors in
1977 as a fully-fledged nightclub. Suddenly, it became the place to be.
