This month, I officially step into my new role as
president of Ohio’s largest suburban chamber of
commerce. I look forward to advocating on your behalf,
as well as getting to know you and your businesses
better in the coming year.
I hope you will join me at one of my favorite events,
Taste of Dublin on Sept. 18 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
at The Wendy’s Company Thomas Conference Center,
One Dave Thomas Blvd. in Dublin. This event features
delicious specialty items from the best area restaurants
and catering firms, as well as great entertainment, music and mingling in the
community.
Once you try all those great dishes, you’ll surely want to return to the restaurants
for more. The Dine Fine in Dublin Raffle offers you a chance to win twelve (12)
$50 gift cards to some of your favorite restaurants. Buy your raffle tickets online
at DublinChamber.org/DineFine for only $5 for one, or $20 for five tickets. All
proceeds from the raffle benefit the Dublin Chamber Civic Foundation, which helps
fund scholarships for Dublin City Schools students.
While we look ahead to the coming year, it’s also important to continue to develop
our leadership skills and the skill sets of those who work for us. A great way to do
this is through The Leadership Academy for Young Professionals. The program is
taught by area business leaders and helps your organization’s young professionals
to become engaged in the community and invested in their professional careers.
