The season is winding down

Oh no , we are down to our last two months of our 2023 season . How did it go by so quickly ? Well I guess it was because we were having so much fun planning and playing in
FIEWEGER scrambles and enjoying
Tuesday morning golf . It ’ s always fun to check in with
Paula Johnson and her crew .
Speaking of scrambles , we just finished our last scramble for the year , “ Let ’ s Celebrate the Charbonneau Golden Girls .” Leesa Gango again did an excellent job planning a fun event . Putting with a mallet ? That got some giggles ! Pictures are fun . We heard good news that she will again chair the Scramble Committee for the 2024 Season . Contact her if you would like to be on her committee and plan some fun events .
There are lots of fun events coming this month . The Pink Ball Golf Tournament is Tuesday , Sept . 12 . Fun photos and results will be in the October issue as well as the results for monies raised to support cancer research at OHSU .
We are accepting donations until the end of the year . All checks are made out to the OHSU Foundation ( Pink Ball on the Memo Line ). OHSU will acknowledge your donations , which are tax deductible . Thank you all for your donations and support for cancer research at OHSU !
The OHSU Foundation requested some Niners to support the Platt Electric Golf Tournament at the Reserve course in Aloha . We had a fun day monitoring holes for long drives and for helping golfers spin the ‘ Advantage Wheel ’. Leesa , you need to consider this for a scramble !
There is still time to get Niners Performance tickets for “ It ’ s 5:00 O ’ clock Somewhere .” A matinee is scheduled on Wednesday Sept . 27 from 2-5 p . m . On Friday , Sept . 29 and

Saturday , Sept . 30 , performances will begin at 6 p . m . This is one last chance to enjoy the 2023 season performance .
Tickets will be sold at the Charbonneau Newcomers Welcome event in the clubhouse on Wednesday , Sept . 6 . Still need a ticket ? Contact Joanna Sawyer at 503-694-5555 .
This year it will be BYOB and you can also bring snacks and decorate your table ! Let ’ s get this party started and remember to clap loudly for the skits and cheer on the ‘ Charbonnettes Dance Team .’ They spent many hours practicing .
The season ending Tuesday , Oct . 31 does not mean you need to stop playing . There are events in Charbonneau ‘ Frost Bite ’ that welcome players . Speaking of golf on the 31st , ‘ Halloween ,’ it would be fun to see some costumes ! I can see you now , Judy Williams , Carol Zinsli , Bonnie Bohm , Joyce Bowden , Cathy Loffink and Leesa Gango . No costume ? Just wear a mask and let Paula Johnson guess who you are . There may be some treats at the table . What a fun way to end our season .
