Music King David tha Vessel Music has been a staple of his life from day one. Born David Eagles, King David tha Vessel, has always had a knack for expressing himself musically. Singing from the age of 4, and starting his rap career in church, KD has always pushed the envelope in ideology, while searching out the right lane for his particular skill set: getting serious about the LORD took care of that. “Once I rededicated my life to the LORD in 2001, the farthest thing from my mind was music. That was actually one of the biggest and hardest things I was walking away from. Not hard because I just had to do it or have it, but hard because I knew it was in me. But in coming back to the LORD, I didn’t care about music or anything else but turning my life around. Never imagined it would come to this…” To hear the interview with King David tha Vessel click here: http://www.candyrandy-radio.com/in-the-spotlight The Main Thing - Terri E. Wilson Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark Every one of us will face dark times in our lives at one time or another. I’m not talking about the times when we can’t pay the electric bill or something happens at the power company and the whole city is plunged into darkness. I’m talking about a time when it doesn’t matter how hard we look, all we see is darkness and the Sun is brightly shinning. There are many reasons why our world could be thrown into darkness. They may include depression, illness (ours or a loved one’s), insecurity or loneliness. But unlike the lady in the 1973 movie, “Don’t Be Afraid of The Dark”, where the demons decided the woman of the house was going to be their queen, we have a light, a savior, someone we can lean on when things get tough. When those demons made the decision to take her to their world they had steadfast determination. At times, the enemy seems to have that same steadfast determination when it comes to us. It’s like we’re the only one he’s after and as a result our lives are in shambles. We find ourselves withdrawing from our friends and family, which is exactly where the enemy wants us to be so he can condemn us and make us feel like the lowest of the low. These dark times can make us feel we’ve made the wrong decision as to who we’re going to follow. We turn right and we can’t see a way out, we turn left and we can’t see a way out. We might even feel like our enemy has the ability to drive us to the point of no return. As children of the Most High though, we do have a way out. We know we are never alone and we can bank on the fact that God is always there for us. That’s one of those promises we can cling to. If we hold to His unchanging hand, we don’t have to be afraid of the dark He; will lead us out of our darkness into His marvelous light where there is peace and safety and love. So hold on and don’t let go. Terri E. Wilson is a licensed minister, a women’s coach at her church, and author. pg19
