T he Sydney Cricket Ground was awash with blush tones in January, but spectators at the famous Pink Test may have observed the occasional spot of another colour. Volunteers at the charity game were drinking NU Spring Water from its distinctive blue square bottles.
It was the dawning of a powerful partnership that would see Nu-Pure pledge support to the McGrath Foundation, which provides people across Australia experiencing cancer with McGrath Cancer Care Nurses for clinical, psychosocial and emotional support throughout their cancer treatment.
“ Nu-Pure kept all our volunteers hydrated at the 2026 Pink Test, which led to a conversation about how Nu-Pure could continue to support the McGrath Foundation in a meaningful way, engaging with their customers to drive awareness and fundraising,” says Tim Iffland, Corporate Partnerships Manager at the McGrath Foundation.
This October, Nu-Pure will donate 10 cents from every 24 600ml NU Spring difference
Water bottles sold, and is running a competition to win flights and tickets to the NRMA Insurance Pink Cricket Test at the SCG on 6 January 2027. It’ s all part of Nu-Pure doing its bit to support the two in five Australians likely to be diagnosed with cancer by age 85.
The good news is Costco members who pick up a participating pack of NU Spring Water will know they’ re making a donation just by having a drink.
“ Through Costco, we’ re able to reach households across the country, and through the McGrath Foundation partnership, we can turn everyday purchases into something more meaningful,” says Kim Brown, Nu-Pure Beverages Marketing and Sponsorship Manager.
“ It’ s a simple idea – hydration that not only feels good but also does good.”
McGrath Foundation partner
For 20 years, the McGrath Foundation was synonymous with breast cancer support. In 2025, however, it shifted its focus to the lofty goal of equipping every person across Australia who is experiencing cancer with a McGrath Cancer Care Nurse.
“ A cancer diagnosis can turn your world upside down,” says Tracy Bevan, McGrath Foundation ambassador and director.“ Having someone by your side who understands not just the treatment but everything else that comes with it can make all the difference. >
“ Time and again, we hear from patients and families that they simply don’ t know how they
would have navigated cancer without their McGrath Cancer Care Nurse.”
