1. For dryers.“ Regularly clean out the lint trap,” Joyce advises.“ If you’ re not, small amounts of lint can start making its way into the condenser area, which clogs it up and then it becomes very inefficient.”
2. For washing machines.“ If you’ ve got a front-loader, keep it open between washes to make sure you don’ t get mould on the seal,” says Joyce.“ It can get mouldy easily and that isn’ t covered under warranty.”
3. For refrigerators.“ Fridges can overheat if they don’ t have enough space,” Joyce explains.“ Keep clearance around the fridge to allow airflow and so heat can dissipate.”
