Introduction and Scope of the Report
The Sewesbel Group is proud to present its condensed annual report for the year ended 30 April 2014.
This report is our primary reporting vehicle and should be read in conjunction with the complete annual
financial statements on the Senwes website, www.senwes.co.za. Ernst & Young Inc. independently
audited the Group’s financial statements.
In its role as an investment company, Senwesbel Limited holds the majority shares of Senwes Limited
and which is its sole investment. The corporate governance report, operational overview, integrated and
sustainability reports of Senwes Limited are not included in the condensed annual report of Senwesbel
Limited. Please refer to www.senwes.co.za where these reports are fully disclosed by Senwes Limited.
This report focuses on events which occurred during the year ended 30 April 2014 and makes relevant
comparisons to prior periods.
Reporting principles
The information provided in this report has been extracted from the annual financial statements which
complies with International Financial Reporting Standards and the South African Companies Act No. 71
of 2008 (as amended), where applicable. The accounting policy adopted by the Group during the year is
consistent with the policy followed in preparing the Group’s annual financial statements of the preceding
financial year.
The information in this report has not been subjected to an independent audit or review and has been
compiled based on internal records and information in the public domain, under supervision of LA Grobler,
CA (SA).
